  1. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring Yes that’s how the scientific method SHOULD work. I think you meant to say they rejected the guy who said the earth wasn’t flat. People laughed and rejected concepts yes, because our collective knowledge has been changing over time. It’s only natural this would happen. Our understanding is growing. Science isn’t nearly as similar to some corrupt game of politics as some people like to think it is. I believe LEGITIMATE theories/science WILL be heard if presented well.

  2. DireSpring Says:

@TatsujinSan That’s how science should work. Unfortunately, the majority of academics box themselves into a belief system similar to the way religions do. The scientific community totally rejected the guy who discovered the earth was flat, laughed at Nikola Tesla, and a number of others who made great discoveries. Anytime someone challenges the status quo they are rejected by the masses, doesn’t really matter what the actual subject material is. That’s why being open minded is a good thing.

  3. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring The scientific method is the most valuable, most effective method of determining truth. That’s what people fail to realize. They get all pissy because science doesn’t put questionable material into textbook format and so they then conclude that science is a mean bully trying to ruin all their fun and tell them their beliefs are impossible. Science states what is. Not what cannot be. If we discover that our understanding of what is is incorrect we change it. That’s how science works.

  4. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring An instance of prayer/faith “healing” not being explained doesn’t mean there isn’t a natural explanation and it’s more logical to assume that there ISN’T a supernatural explanation. There’s NO reason to believe the laws of reality as we understand them have ever been suspended by some divine intervention and there’s clearly good reason NOT to believe things based on people’s testimony. I am at the middle ground. My mind is open. I completely agree that no one knows the whole truth.

  5. evarojas Says:

@slash4689 I believe his book is called Defending Sacred Ground.

  6. DireSpring Says:

@TatsujinSan Their are also situations where faith healing has worked and people have healed with absolutely no medical/scientific explanation (under different religions and belief systems). We can’t explain that. Does that mean that prayer/faith healing will always work everytime it is tried for every person? Absolutely not, but their are anomalies that deserve scrutiny. A closed mind doesn’t help anyone grow, neither does a mind that is too open. A good middle ground is required in my opinion.

  7. DireSpring Says:

@TatsujinSan I must have just mis-understood what you were trying to get across. Unfortunately, everyone thinks they already know the truth. That’s the problem. No one knows the whole truth. The muslims think they are right, the jews think they are right, the atheists think they are right and that everyone else is wrong. Everyone tries to force their worldview on everyone else, and is why there is so much pain. Ignorance isn’t the danger. It’s the illusion that we already know the truth.

  8. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring I cannot tell someone what they are permitted to do. I can only tell them that truth is important and that believing in falsehoods, and having faith without reason or evidence is more harmful than good. It doesn’t matter if it helps people. They shouldn’t be so weak as to need to lie to themselves to deal with reality. I never insinuated that prayer is dangerous in all cases. The belief that prayers are answered is false. This can and has killed people who refuse medical treatment.

  9. DireSpring Says:

@TatsujinSan The way you perceive things DOES affect the way you experience reality, that’s all im saying. I’m not coming at it from a mystical perspective at all. I’m not defending any of the typical new age belief systems either. Prayer being dangerous is just your opinion though…..perhaps it is true in some cases but obviously not all. Some people benefit from it. It’s not my place or yours to tell anyone what they can or cannot believe, that’s my only point.

  10. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring because prayer or “attracting” does NOT destroy physical illness, and it’s DANGEROUS to believe such things. I believe the mind can assist in healing but nothing mystical or supernatural is occurring in this process and it is not as powerful as mystics like to think it is.

Being “better” is a meaningless concept to me. Unless you put it in context… I’m better at reflecting upon beliefs and assessing the truth and value of them. I’m better at discerning truth.

  11. TatsujinSan Says:

@DireSpring There is a reality that exists regardless of varying human perceptions. The law of attraction is bullshit even in the lives of those that pretend they believe in it. They delude themselves and I’ve seen it. They attempt to claim victory when they get what they want and neglect to factor in the countless times their predictions and desires fail to manifest anything. They unnecessarily assign significance to instances of coincidence. I care because I’ve seen it threaten people’s health

  12. DireSpring Says:

@TatsujinSan That’s the crux of the issue. You perceive things that way therefore that is your reality. People are at different levels in the perceptual spectrum, doesn’t mean that anybody is better than anybody else simply because they see things differently. If you think it’s bullshit than as far is it’s impact on your life and your experience is concerned…..it is bullshit. As long as you aren’t attempting to force that perception on others, who really cares?

  13. Calymere09 Says:

What would I do with my life? I think I’d just find a way to enjoy life more, I’d sit back and notice more of the natural beauty around me. Prolly heal some past relationships that might still have a lose string or two hanging. I’d go out of my way to be kind and forgiving. Guess I should just start doing that right now, lol. ‘Cause you never know what tomorrow holds.

    i love alex collier!

  15. Flerg3 Says:

he says, lets suppose there is gonna be a pole shift? is that what he’s really saying is gonna happen? surely the andromedans are advanced enough to intervene and help with all their technology. he says intervention has occurred before ya know.

  16. THAWORDIZ Says:

he is sayin we are all the same, but we dont all do the same nor want the same desires so thats a lie .and i know he is hidding a lot of information because he’s talkin slow and thinkin carefully of what he is sayin and i bet he will never mention that there is black looking people that are aliens as well as blue-eyed blondes tans

  17. TatsujinSan Says:

I reject this idea of the law of attraction. I reject any god that would use such a stupid fucking method. It doesn’t exist. Your thoughts do not change reality except for what actions you take as a result of those thoughts. There’s no magic involved which brings you closer to what you want. It’s the exact same argument as prayer. If someone prays and it doesn’t work, believers will claim that the prayer wasn’t strong enough or in this case that the desire wasn’t strong enough. BULLSHIT.
