13. December 2009 at 11:08 pm
send this video to other Hawaiians… we need to educate ourselves because the public schools are failing us.
13. December 2009 at 11:29 pm
did the US govt actually think that an apology bill would suffice?!
they illegally took the land, continue to destroy it, banned our own language in our own land, took hula for awhile, deny countless hawaiians education, file lawsuits against a school that targets educating the native keiki of this land….and dey still want more.
and now we as hawaiians need to work harder than ever to get everything back.

That is an issue they’ve talked about & one of the things that definitely would be taken into consideration but the way it was described, it’s like if a HAWAIIAN had sold you his car, then someone stole your car, but sold it to someone else, & that person sold it to someone else, then the original thief admitted to stealing your car. So, who does the car belong to, the most recent purchaser, or the one before that, or you, or the Hawaiian who sold it?

I wish I could attend these talks just to hear. My friend just went back home this afternoon, she spent 1 night here @ my place, she attends that Uni., getting her master’s in indigenous governance I think she said.

There’s a new documentary that is out & available called NOHO HEWA, & they mention a few instances how the US tried to cover things up. I mean their military. Yes, they definitely lie & continue to do so.
14. December 2009 at 1:49 am
To many of us, what’s more absurd is how this propaganda has spread & the world believes that the Hawaiian Kingdom is a part of the US, yet the U.S. Dept. of Justice mentioned in 2 instances how they couldn’t understand by what means did the US Congress annex the Hawn islands. In other words, there was no treaty of annexation.
14. December 2009 at 2:34 am
right on brah, i totally agree with all your comments
14. December 2009 at 3:30 am
Hawaii’s situation is diff. It could be compared to the Baltics of which recently managed to have Russia deoccupy.
14. December 2009 at 3:59 am
And stop assuming that people in Africa looked like you. If that were the case, the Europeans are closer to you than we are. Stop marginalizing us a la HAOLEs.
14. December 2009 at 4:03 am
Trying to use local terms like “brah” makes you look like the ignorant one. Unlike “Black”, POPOLO isn’t a negative term. The Haoles succeeded in enslaving you people w/ the mentality that the Whites are superior & to compensate, yng popolos such as urself claim to the out of Africa people as a means to justify why ur superior when in reality you know nothing about any African culture. Why? The Haoles took that away fr u. “stay in Kapolei”…so ghetto, & everyone fr Oahu are pilau.
14. December 2009 at 4:34 am
Look here Brah, I’m not in the military and I stay in Kapolei, I don’t have to CLAIM anything. I dare you call me a “popolo” to my face, you’ll end up with a wad of gallas in YOUR face. You’re the only ignoramous on here, spewing comment after comment like your so fockin smart…you can’t deny the fact that every race on this Earth is an offshoot of the Negro, meaning you are a decendant of MY MASTER RACE!!! GET OVER IT AND BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU RESEMBLE YOUR CREATORS!!!
14. December 2009 at 5:13 am
I don’t think you understand what a revolution really is. But it’s not independence, rather it’s deoccupation since the US has been occupying since 1898.
14. December 2009 at 5:46 am
We’re definitely not pussys, many of us descend fr warriors, myself included. But, I do wish there was more stronger resistance other than Robert Wilcox, who attempted a couple of times but they caught him the 2nd time & threatened to execute him in exchange the Queen signed this so called abdication, but not even w/ her legal name.
14. December 2009 at 6:38 am
It seems you have a misunderstanding what “sovereignty” really is. Sovereignty never ceased. Under intl law, cession or conquest, is the only way SOVEREIGNTY may be transferred fr one entity to the next. I know u already know that there was no treaty of annexation.
14. December 2009 at 7:26 am
Whoa, wait a minute, what type of “protection” do you believe the US can provide? So far it has got only worse. The state w/in a state model is a farce, particularly b/c it legally isn’t a state. The language in the Akaka Bill doesn’t state that they’ll protect anything.
14. December 2009 at 7:56 am
But the US had MANIFEST DESTINY & believed that was their destiny, to conquer & take lands & today, it’s worse b/c it’s under the guise of GLOBALIZATION.
14. December 2009 at 8:36 am
My history prof. always talked abt how history is basically HIS story, where each person can experience the same thing, just diff. perspectives. Like any other, there are facts (you mentioned truth, same thing) but it’s how the facts have been interpreted that makes a diff. So yes, you’re pretty much accurate w/ your assessment.
14. December 2009 at 8:45 am
There’s actually 1 person who is doing his dissertation comparing the Baltics to Hawaii, given that USSR broke up & deoccupied Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania. This person was interviewing people fr those nations to see what modeled they followed in the process of deoccupying so that HI could follow the same process more or less.
14. December 2009 at 8:51 am
Hawns don’t want reparations. That’s like me stealing fr. u & u try to get back what I took fr. u decades later & then my child decides to give you something else in return for what I did to u. Hawns want nothing more than the US to leave, just as they have been protesting that since 1893. Having no US control means WE would have control over our own economy & how business is run. Prior to 1887 we had foreign investors, it’s just that they forced the King to chg the Constitution.
14. December 2009 at 9:34 am
Thanks! Yes, USA’s economy is pretty much dependant & isn’t doing so good, has not been doing so good the past 2 yrs now.
14. December 2009 at 9:41 am
Pls understand that prior to US’ occupation, the Hawaiian Kingdom was a thriving nation like any other nation & a progressive one at that. We had a higher literacy rate than the US back then, the King had electricity in Iolani Palace b4 the White House & there was a good reason why these greedy Haoles took an interest in the Hawn Isles. We had a thriving economy, embassies & treaties w/ other nations & was part of the Family of Nations.
14. December 2009 at 10:02 am
& if I were the fool, why do I know all these facts & you don’t? & the fact that you CLAIM to live in HI mean nothing b/c then you’d be aware of my people. U popolos & haoles in the military r so hated by ALL locals, mainly for ur arrogance, ignorance & hated by us nationals for occupying the islands, coupled w/ the fact that you’ve only proven mine & others’ point how stupid you people can look by not even understanding ur own culture.
14. December 2009 at 10:09 am
Definitely no cultural awareness b/c if that were true, you would be able to have some incline to diff. types of people. Again, u saying that we are remnants of 1 AFrican tribe or another w/o no evidence just proves my point. Fact is, ALL non-African people descend from the same group of people that left Africa 85,000 to 90,000 yrs ago & settled on the Arabian peninsula. There is no such thing as a MASTER race, that is sooo much a WHITE concept!
