@delta720 well mentally tougher and richer than the other 6 billion. Ironman is a seriously expensive endeavor. Not everyone has the means to pay for the equipment and pay those spendy fee’s.
@RB902050 Just because they fill up fast does not mean they are easy, the fact is almost anyone could do an ironman if they commited themselves, but few people are mentally tough. If a million people did the ironman every year it would not mean its easy, it would just mean one million people are mentally tougher than the other 6 billion.

I agree man!
so many tests in sports.
You truly get to know yourself and the great thing is that you have to get on with yourself to get better. I think most of the benefit of sport is in your mind.
As Lance Armstrong says : Pain is tempullary . It may last a minute, an hour , a day, or an year. But eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever !
There aren’t ‘just several’ lives that are more important than being cool, smoke cigaretes, drink alhool and so on. The sports , especially cycling gave me the reason we live – it no so coplicated. You won’t live twice and nothing will come back so live for the moment, live on your maximum. Sports develop many and many qualities in each person, so my advice is DO IT, Do it now, do it forever! As I said some things are much more important than others !
P.S . Sorry if there are any mistakes
I think tiatdivad meant that there are people who finished single events with double or triple ironman distances, like the Ultraman World Championship.

You go until you can’t take another step, so you take another step. You do this for hours. That’s all there is to it, really.

Ironman’s are fairly easy. Look how fast they fill up, within hours. Ironman is now standard. What will challenge people now?

Still…do some research. There are quintuple and deca IronMan races in South America. Double and Triple are old news.

Best video in youtube. I will finish my first iron man distance next summer @ Nokia, Finland.
