Hawaii News Now. Emotions ran high as Neil Abercrombie and Mufi Hannemann joined forces at the Hawaii Democratic Party’s post-election unity breakfast on Sunday. KITV. The word "unity" doesn't spring to mind when thinking of Mufi Hannemann and Neil Abercrombie. Civil Beat. Former U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie tapped into a reservoir of support among traditional Democrats in his primary victory on Saturday but also did remarkably well in regions that often favor independents and conservatives. Star-Advertiser. Democratic candidate Neil Abercrombie's domination spanned all counties except Kauai. It was a blowout. KITV.
